Recipe of the Day: Croutons

Croutons are quite easy to make, and much better than anything store bought. Whats great is that they use up that day old bread too.

Slice the bread to the desired size.
Coat with olive oil to cover the surface without drowning the pieces.
Season with salt and pepper and other seasons to taste. I often add garlic powder, Italian seasoning and/or pepper flakes.

Spread the pieces on a baking sheet, and cook in a 350 deg oven for about 20 - 40 minutes, turning a couple times to make sure they cook evenly. Cook until the pieces are crunchy and slightly browned.
